Texas Schools Recognized for College and Career Readiness

All Cypress Creek Lakes residents as well as any out-of-staters considering a move to Texas should feel confident in sending their children to Cy-Fair I.S.D., as the national organization *Achieve* selected Texas as the only state to meet all the American Diploma Project's five key college and career readiness measures.

Texas is one of 35 member states of the America Diploma Project Network, in which *Achieve*, created by the nation's governors and business leaders, helps raise education standards and conducts annual surveys on college and career readiness.


3rd Annual Cy-Fair Home & Garden Show

The show will feature a variety of industry expert vendors and speakers, including landscapers, authors, green building specialists, radio hosts, and certified professional organizers.

This 2010 show will feature new products, new ideas, and new trends! The show is an excellent kickoff to the Spring season, as those seeking ideas for Spring cleaning or looking for bids on a backyard renovation will be nearly overwhelmed with the available information at the show!


Lone Star College Cy-Fair Expanding its Campus with New Construction

Cypress-Fairbanks and Cypress Creek Lakes residents have been attending or enjoying programs from Lone Star College Cy-Fair for years, and now the college is expanding to reach even more students and community members.

Among the many new projects moving forward at Lone Star College Cy-Fair residents can look forward to more space at the main campus, with an expansion of the 450,000 sq ft building at Barker-Cypress and West roads. A 138,000 sq ft classroom building on the South side and a 55,000 sq ft science classroom building on the north side of campus are already under construction, both of which should be finished in the fall of 2011.

Annie is Gracing the Cypress Stage

“The sun’ll come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there’ll be sun…”

This hopeful melody is none other than the famous “Tomorrow” from Annie. This lively musical production is set to grace Cypress’ own Berry Center stage February 12 through 21 as the first performance of Annie allowed in the Houston area in some years. Performed by Houston’s Center Stage Theater this production is fit for the whole family, featuring actors from the community, ranging from adults to children and even dogs!
