Teen Driver Education Courses Offered at LSC-CyFair

Enrollment is currently being accepted for the Lone Star College Cy-Fair’s Teen Driver Education Program for teens ages 15 to 17 years old.
Courses offered in this program will cover road signs and laws to prepare teens for the Department of Public Safety’s written exam. Other items covered include car maintenance, effects of drug and alcohol, laws and penalties for drinking and driving, emergency situations, basic driving procedures, road rage and insurance.
Thirty-two hours of in-classroom instruction will be offered for the class, and students must purchase a copy of the Texas Traffic Safety Education Student Manual, which is available at the campus bookstore.
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday from Tuesday, March 22 to Friday April 15 and also on Tuesday April 19 to Friday May 13. Classes will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. The location for these classes will be LSC-CyFair, 9191 Barker Cypress Road.
