Cypress Creek Lakes Realtor Advisory Council

Cypress Creek Lakes has created a Realtor Advisory Council. The group's first meeting was held on Thursday, September 15, 2011. Agents who are active in Cypress market area were invited to share their thoughts and opinions with the development's management team. The lunch event was held at Perry’s Steak House at Memorial City Mall. The group plans to meet regularly to share information to sharpen the community's sales and marketing efforts. Members of the council include:

Amy Lippincott, REMAX All Stars

Debbie Roobaert,  Keller Williams Realty Jimmy Franklin's office

On August 3rd, Cypress Creek Lakes held a Realtor VIP Preview of the community's August "Smart Move Sales Event" for area Real Estate Agents. Over 100 agents attended the event, touring model homes by Perry Homes and Coventry Homes, enjoying a catered lunch, and finding out more about this special event and incentives for home buyers.

Ren'e Walker-Sanchez with Texas Legacy Real Estate was the grand prize event drawing winner of an Apple iPad 2. Marlene Johnson with Coldwell Banker United, Realtors, won a $250 Best Buy gift card, courtesy of EnTouch.

The Smart Move Sales Event runs through August 31, 2011 and the public can register for another Apple iPad 2 drawing and another drawing for a $500 back-to-school shopping spree when they visit. No purchase necessary to win either drawing.

Susan and Doug Portwood love living in Cypress Creek Lakes, the home they had built by Coventry Homes, the lifestyle afforded to them there and the many neighbors they have gotten to know. They’re known in the community for being outgoing, friendly and having a beautiful home, a stunning back yard and outdoor living area;  and even more important to the younger residents of the community – their home is the place where Santa lives. That’s because Doug has played Santa Claus for the kids in the community for years.

And for as much as the Portwoods have enjoyed living in Cypress Creek Lakes, they have made the decision to move to the Dallas area, to be close to their children an extended family and have put their home on the market. And for one lucky buyer, this home, which is priced far below market value, is truly a dream for anyone who loves the outdoors, delights in entertaining or simply relishes the comforts of their own home.

Located on a cul-de-sac on over one-fourth acre, the home at 26319 Morning Cypress Circle is not only an example to new-home buyers of the impressive homes available in Cypress Creek Lakes, it is also an outstanding example of the flexibility and limitless ideas offered to buyers who want to make their home a reflection of their true taste and style.

Texas Business Ranked No. 1 for 3 Years in a Row

The economy and real estate are on everyone's mind in today's ever-changing marketplace, but Texans have a lot to be proud of - especially Houstonians.  For the 3rd consecutive year, Texas has been ranked as the No. 1 state in the USA for business, using a combination criteria including business friendliness, workforce, education, and availability of capital.  This is a very strong statement about the strength of the Lone Star State at a time when several other states are on the decline and struggling for growth and business support.

According to the National Association of Realtors, in the last year, Houston was the only major metropolitan area in the country to post a home price appreciation - yet residents of Houston pay one of the lowest per capita costs for shelter in comparison to the rest of the country.  In fact, a recent Texas A&M study shows that Texas is in a great position overall. Texas residents enjoy a great state economy in part because - even with the only recorded rise in home appreciation in the nation - Texans have more to spend on non-shelter goods (food, transportation, clothes, etc.) than other states because their per capita shelter costs are still so low.  And, that extra spending translates into very positive economic news for everyone in Texas and the Greater Houston areas!

Go Texas!
