We’ve all seen the movie, but wouldn’t it be great to actually find out for yourself what a Night At the Museum is really like?
Thanks to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, your whole family can take part in the overnight experience. Make plans now for an excitement-filled night including hands-on activities, planetarium show before snuggling up in your sleeping bag among the exhibits. Each participant receives museum admission, garage parking, pizza dinner, late night snack and continental breakfast.
HMNS even gives groups the opportunity to customize their experiences with additional activities, presentations and food.

The military support organization and non-profit Operation Interdependence has recently created and allegiance with the Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum, whose members will now be providing year-round volunteer services.
Operation Interdependence is a non-profit organization that supports our troops, and their families, serving on the front lines as well as veterans. Through involvement of local community members, these soldiers receive c-rations and inspirational letters from Operation Interdependence in their home towns.
Houston is the largest Operation Interdependence site in the country according to their area manager, Jerry Harmon.

Twelve students were recently inducted into the new Lone Star College Cy-Fair XI Gamma Chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma, the National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society.
The Alpha Mu Gamma students inducted include: French student Brandon Bourgeois; Spanish student Rhina Concinos; American Sign Language (ASL) students Kristina Briley, Theresa Gilbert, Leyel Hudson, Leslie Little, Tracilynn Roberts and Cheryl Robertson; English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students Laline Cedpeda, Indira Dortolina, Eddoe Lanz and Yesul Shin.

Construction is complete and Tuckerton Road is now open in Cypress, Harris County. Tuckerton Road is a now a major thoroughfare connecting Fry Road to Greenhouse and is a major, new east-west connector for travelers.
Tuckerton Road also runs through Phase 3 of the master-planned community of Cypress Creek Lakes. This new artery will make it easier for Cypress Creek Lakes residents to get to Cy-Fair ISD's Berry Center, Lone Star College, retail centers and more.
“With the completion of Tuckerton Road, between Fry Road and Greenhouse, Mischer Development is excited to begin construction on Phase 3 of the remaining 700 acres of Cypress Creek Lakes. Cypress Creek Lakes Phase 3 will have over 1100 lots and 100 acres of commercial land, available for development opportunities. Metropolitan Baptist Church purchased 100 acres located on the Southeast corner of Fry and Tuckerton. We look forward to having new lots, and our new recreation facility mid-year of 2012," according to Randy Corson, Director of Marketing for Mischer Development Company.

Lone Star College-CyFair (LSC-CyFair) will hold workshops in June offering tips for good books, healthful supplements, royal weddings and dances.
LSC-CyFair’s “Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Enrichment” (L.I.F.E.) programs are free and held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the library.

Mark Henry, a Doctor of Education in Administration, has recently been approved by the Cy-Fair ISD Board of Trustees as the sole contender for Superintendent of Schools.
Dr. Henry is currently serving out his contract as the Superintendent of Schools for Galena Park ISD, and will officially take on the role of Cy-Fair ISD Superintendent as of July 18, 2011.
