Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District will participate in “Take Our Child to Work Day” on Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
CFISD is working in partnership with other Houston-area school districts for this event. “Take our Child to Work Day” is normally held on April 28, but Cypress-Fairbanks ISD chose to celebrate the event in June, on a teacher in-service work day so that it would not interfere with the regular activities of a school day.
Celebrating the event in June allows for businesses to determine the appropriate level of participation of their employees’ children and will also not interfere with Summer School, which begins June 11.
