Our Cypress Community

The community of Cypress Creek Lakes is located in the region of Cypress-Fairbanks, commonly known as Cy-Fair, in northwest Houston. The community of Cy-Fair, which includes Cypress Creek Lakes, is approx. 186 square miles and is comprised of the cities of Cypress and Jersey City.

The Cypress area is vibrant and offers an endless supply of national retailers and restaurant chains as well as charming locally owned boutiques and dining spots. From youth sports organizations, to places to worship, to finding a doctor, it’s easy to connect with your community when you live in Cypress Creek Lakes. You and your family will always have something exciting to do in or around your Cypress Creek Lakes community. 

For those who need to commute, Cypress is only a short distance from metropolitan Houston, the fourth largest city in America. However, the Cy-Fair community is also happy to boast a number of largeemployers in the local area, including:

Local Area Amenities

Other area amenities just minutes away include: local shopping (Kroger, Target, Randalls, HEB, the Houston Premium Outlets mall), restaurants (Chick-fil-A, On the Border, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic, Alicia's Mexican Restaurant, Chili's, Luby's, Spring Creek Barbeque). Area medical services include RediClinic, which is located in the HEB at Barker Cypress, the Cypress Medical Center at US-290 at Barker Cypress, Methodist Hospital at Willowbrook Mall and The New Kelsey Seybold Campus at The Vintage which is located at US-249 and Chasewood Park.

Green space abounds in Cypress, which will be the trailhead of the planned Cypress Creek Greenway Project. This major parks project will attempt to link a series of parks throughout the entirety of Cypress Creek via construction of a greenbelt featuring hiking and biking trails, horse back riding facilities, canoe access, and other amenities. The aim of the project is to connect with the Spring Creek Greenway northeast of Interstate 45.

BlackHorse Golf Course

Golf enthusiasts enjoy the adjoining Blackhorse Golf Club featuring two 18-hole championship courses, an impeccably maintained practice range and short game and putting area.  Named the “Ultimate Public Course” by the Houston Chronicle, the golf course was designed by PGA Tour Professional Peter Jacobsen and golf course designer Jim Hardy.

 

The BlackHorse Teaching Center offers instruction for all levels from junior to touring pros in addition to corporate programs. BlackHorse also features a clubhouse, pavilion, restaurant, bar, and pro shop.

Cypress Creek Lakes is dedicated to maintaining a vibrant community for each resident to enjoy. Crest Management, a leading management company within residential real estate, services the Cypress Creek Lakes Homeowner’s Association.

Commercial Development in Cypress Creek Lakes

Mischer Development reserves acreage adjoining its communities for future retail development. The devoted acreage provides for future growth and serves the local community with a mix of aesthetically pleasing retail centers with everyday conveniences.

Nearly 200 acres are dedicated to proposed commercial/mixed use development near Cypress Creek Lakes. The Metropolitan Baptist Church is slated to start construction later this year on nearly 100 acres situated at the intersection of Tuckerton and Fry Road. Plans for the remaining acreage are still underway.
